This painting was created in my loft located in Downton St. Louis, Mo. off Washington Ave. If you know St. Louis, you know Wash Ave is the main strip where there are an array of bars, small grocery stores, a bowling alley named the Flamingo, a cigar bar named Stanley’s, clothing stores (DNA), art museums, etc. A week before creating this piece I was chased down in an alley by an old man in an old brown pickup truck with a gun with my Bestfriend Justus Jarvis. We both split up and eventually met back at the crib, but was nonetheless a story to live and tell. I was thinking about the southern peaches I’d miss if I didn’t make it out alive, and all the corruption going on in the world, we just need somebody to stand on 10 and lead.
